Solstice

Today is the first of three days of Solstice, one of the four angles of the year that marks human cycles. This Solstice is of particular interest as it occurs as Pluto sits on the cusp preparing to make its ingress to Capricorn, accompanied by Mercury, Sol and Jupiter. What an interesting combination! What does it mean?
Pluto through Sagittarius brought a gigantic shift in mass human consciousness during its fourteen or so years transit of that sign. Not since ancient times has the Mystical, Spiritual and Occult been so much part of everyday life, compliments of Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius as well, of course – weird fantasy allied to new technology. Science has got weirder and Religion, both stronger and weaker. Will the next sixteen or so years of Pluto through Capricorn see all this re-thinking incorporated into the fabric of society via its rules and bureaucracy. Will this be the time when the East and West truly blend as Alice Baily suggests (‘From Intellect to Intuition’) to produce a new improved human, through new improved education. After-all Capricorn is the sign of the disciple and Satan the great sage and teacher.
For those in their productive years during this time, perhaps Pluto in Capricorn will mark a generation that will begin a time when new social, national and international concepts of humanitarian importance can be incorporated into real life; when all forms of entrenched power will be challenged bringing the opportunity to reorganise political structures in terms of a new ideal of civilization, of new goals for humanity. Those born during Pluto’s transit of Capricorn will then be prepared to take that planet through Aquarius from 2024.
